Free Uber & Lyft rides to the polls

People looking for a ride to the polls on Tuesday can take advantage of some free rides being offered.

The NAACP and Opportunities Industrialization Center of Rhode Island are teaming up with Uber and Lyft to get people to the polls.

The two smart phone based application companies are giving the free rides to first time users.

“What it does is it’s an independent ride, you know it’s not partisan so they come there with their own agenda not the agenda of anyone else trying to provide them the service,” Juan Wilson, OIC.

To use Uber all you need to do is sign up with the code “PVDVOTE.” The Uber promo is good for 2 ride up to $10 each,

To use Lyft all you need to do is sign up with the code “RIVOTES14.”
