Seekonk man receives 10 and a half year sentence on child porn charges

SEEKONK, Mass. (WLNE) — A Seekonk man received his sentence Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to several counts of child pornography.

Sean Trahan, 45, was sentenced to 10 and a half years in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of access with intent to view child pornography in October of last year.

According to investigators, Trahan had previous run-ins for accessing child pornography and in September of 2021, he was arrested and charged for violating terms of his release from his previous arrest.

Investigators said Trahan used a Kik messenger group to post images to the internet. A subsequent search also turned up pornographic images on his tablet.
