The Newport Yachting Center is closing.

The Newport Harbor Group sold the event venue to a development group in East Providence, The Peregrine Group.

Sources tell ABC6 that the facility known for the concert series, skating rink, boat show, and more will be torn down, however, the Newport Harbor Group says that, that is not the case. It is unclear what the official plans for the venue are.

The last event listed on their website will be the food truck festival on October 25th.
