Gov. McKee to make ‘special’ announcement Thursday on COVID-19 treatment in Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Gov. Dan McKee is set to make a “special announcement” on COVID-19 treatment Thursday.

McKee’s office said that Dr. Ashish Jha, top COVID advisor to President Biden, will join the announcement virtually.

The governor will also take questions from the media on other topics.

This comes after McKee cancelled his availability last week due to a scheduling conflict.
