5-alarm fire sends crews rushing to Taunton
TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Fire departments across southern Massachusetts responded to a fire in Taunton early Saturday morning.
The 4-alarm fire started around 4 o’clock Saturday morning in a mixed-use building on Spring Lane.
According to fire crews, there was heavy smoke and fire when they arrived. They then began searching inside the building, before evacuating and starting an external attack on the fire.
Mutual aid consisted of departments across Massachusetts including Rehoboth, Raynham, Attleboro, and Berkley.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
