11 people displaced after basement fire in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — 11 people were displaced from their Providence home after a basement fire started on Sunday afternoon.

The fire started at about 2 p.m. on Chamber Street.

Firefighters said most of the damage to the multi-family home was from smoke.

ABC6 News crews on the scene said there were no visible damages to the outside of the building.

Red Cross is helping residents.
