Feeling Like Summer For Memorial Day
After a top 10 day today it will be rather pleasant tonight under a mainly clear sky with lows in the mid and upper 50s.
High pressure will build along the Eastern Seaboard, resulting in a heat and humidity return on the heels of a freshening southwesterly breeze for Memorial Day. Highs away from the shore will reach into the upper 80s to near 90 in one or two spots. Expect a breeze out of the Southwest at 5-15 mph.
This weather pattern will continue into Tuesday, at which point a “backdoor cold front” will approach, moving northeast to southwest. So, temperatures will jump upward quickly during the morning but will tend to fall during the afternoon as cooler air works its way westward.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy and cool, upper 60s with a late day or evening shower around.
Watch for a morning shower on Thursday followed by some afternoon sunshine as a weak “cold front” slips offshore. However, the rest of the day Thursday should turn out to be on the dry side. As for Friday more showers will threaten before nice conditions return for the weekend. Temperatures will be near normal levels in the 70s.
