CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island DMV’s Cranston office was closed Friday morning due to a power outage.

A spokesperson said Friday morning that the DMV headquarters, located at the Pastore Complex in Cranston, would close to new customers at 10:45 a.m. after a “power disruption” affected the building’s air conditioning system.

Customers already at the DMV office at the time of closing would be allowed to complete their business.

According to the Department of Revenue, there were around 300 customers already present when the building was closed.

Customers are encouraged to visit branch locations for services Friday. A full list of offices and schedules is available online here
