MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — A fire in Mansfield displaced residents at an apartment complex Wednesday morning.

Firefighters from Mansfield, Foxborough, and Norton responded just before 6 a.m. to the Station Pointe Apartments on Francis Avenue.

Mansfield police said one apartment was fully involved in a fire. The building was evacuated.

That unit is a total loss, and several other apartments were affected, police said.

It is not immediately known how long residents will be displaced for, police added.

While no injuries were reported, one police officer was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

American Red Cross is working with displaced residents for relocation.
