Filming for ‘Finestkind’ to cause traffic detours along the New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Filming for an upcoming film will cause traffic detours for the New Bedford/Fairhaven area this weekend.

MassDOT officials said filing will take place on the New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge Saturday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Officials said this will result in the closure and detour of Rt. 6 between Main Street in Fairhaven and Rt. 18 In New Bedford.

Businesses along Rt. 6 will be allowed to be open on either side of the bridge.

Officials said if there is inclement weather Saturday, filming will be pushed back to Sunday.

The film being shot is ‘Finestkind’, a thriller drama starring Tommy Lee Jones and Ben Foster.
