Cranston police looking for bank robbery suspect

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that happened Saturday morning.
According to police, it happened at the Washington Trust Bank on Reservoir Avenue around 8:30 a.m.
The black male walked in the bank, demanded cash from the teller, then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The suspect is believed to be in his early 20’s. At the time of the robbery, police said he had braids, wore a black shirt, yellow sneakers and jeans.
Police are asking the public to provide them with any information that can lead to identifying this man.
