FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE) — A vandal defaced several headstones at a cemetery in Freetown last week.

A viewer sent ABC 6 News photos of the vandalism at Assonet Burying Ground to try to get the word out as police search for the suspect.

That viewer told us that her sister and grandparents graves were among those hit with spray painted messages.

This is the second case of vandalism in the town in the past month.

Last month, 34 headstones wand memorials were defaced, one with a swastika painted on it at White Cemetery.
