Judge set to release investigative report on former North Kingstown coach accused of naked ‘fat tests’

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — A judge is set to release an investigative report on a former North Kingstown High School coach accused of conducting naked “fat tests.”
Retired Rhode Island Superior Court Judge Susan McGuirl conducted the investigation expected to be read at Monday’s North Kingstown Town Council.
It is one of at least four separate entities investigating allegations that former North Kingstown high school basketball coach Aaron Thomas conducted those fat checks on student athletes.
Thomas has denied those allegations and no longer works at the school.
The Town Council voted 3-2 to hire Judge McGuirl in December. She sent a letter to residents in March asking anyone with information on the alleged fat checks to come forward and speak with her.
Councilors will meet at 7 p.m. at the Beechwood Senior Center.
