PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The National Labor Relations Board is charging Twin River Casino in Lincoln with concealing a list of crimes committed on the property.

Employees said the casino has failed to provide a list of break-ins, assaults, burglaries and other criminal conduct occurring over the past three years at the Lincoln casino complex that was requested in March.

“We’ve had assaults, firearm threats, vandalism and theft in the parking lots and even on the casino floor,” said Mutuel Clerk and Union President Joe Marciano. “There have been dozens of incidents over the past three years.  It’s time for Twin River to take employee and guest safety seriously.”

On July 1, the National Labor Relations Board charged Twin River with illegally withholding the records of crimes committed against patrons, vendors and guests.

The Union said the information is necessary in order to evaluate worker safety at the facility.

According to the Union, Twin River acknowledged numerous incidents, but only provided details in the case of incidents involving employees.

Twin River spokeswoman Patti Doyle said the casino will cooperate with the labor board.
