Portsmouth police: Norton man arrested on drug charges

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WLNE) — Portsmouth police arrested a Norton man on drug trafficking charges on Thursday.
Police said Ryan Walsh, 47, was pulled over on his motorcycle while entering the town of Portsmouth at about 6:30 p.m.
With the help of a Middletown police k-9, 50 fentanyl pills were found in Walsh’s motorcycle compartment.
Walsh was arrested and charged on possessing, delivering, and manufacturing illegal narcotics. He was held at Portsmouth Police Headquarters overnight.
He is being held in prison until his next court appearance.
