EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — East Providence Mayor Bob DaSilva said that a second park in the city was vandalized Thursday.
The park had graffiti sprayed on its signs as well at the slide.
“So very disappointing to seeing this kind of disrespect for community property, DaSilva said. “Yes this is the community’s property, all of us should be upset and do what we can to help report and identify those responsible.”
The mayor said that a city worker had to spend eight hours trying to clean the paint, going through four cans of paint remover in the process.
DaSilva asked the East Providence Police Chief to assign extra officers to help identify those responsible.
