Attleboro man accused of assaulting beachgoers, slashing tires in Falmouth

FALMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — An Attleboro man is accused of assaulting beachgoers and slashing tires over the weekend in Falmouth.

Falmouth police said they responded to Chapoquoit Beach for reports of a man going around and assaulting people.

That man, later identified as 45-year-old Augusto Darosa, had taken off on foot before police arrived.

A Massachusetts State Police helicopter was able to track down Darosa hiding on a boat in West Falmouth Harbor.
