Woonsocket man, 22, killed in South Kingstown crash

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — South Kingstown police said a Woonsocket man was killed in a crash Friday morning.

Officers were called to a single-car crash just before 1 a.m. on Route 1 south near Congdon Drive.

Investigators said a 2009 Infiniti, driven by 22-year-old Jai Juan Giguerre, went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Police said Giguerre was not wearing a seatbelt, and died from injuries at the scene.

No passengers were in the car at the time of the crash.
