Wake for Providence police officer who died unexpectedly scheduled for Thursday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The wake for a Providence police officer who died unexpectedly is scheduled for Thursday evening.

Officer Juan Robles‘ wake will be held at Keefe Funeral Home in Lincoln from 5-8 p.m.

The Providence police union announced Robles’ death over the weekend.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Brother Juan Robles. Taken far too soon. Those who knew Juan was truly blessed,” Providence FOP Lodge #3 said in a Facebook post.

Robles left behind a wife and daughter.

The union created a donation page for his family.
