Providence police search for man accused of robbing pawn shop

Providence police released these photos of a man accused of robbing a pawn shop earlier this week.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police said Friday they are searching for a man accused of robbing a pawn shop earlier this week.

The incident happened just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fall River Pawn Brokers on Elmwood Avenue.

Police said the man entered the pawn shop, pulled out a gun, and stole $7,000 worth of jewelry before fleeing.

Witnesses described the person to officers as a light skinned man who’s about 6 feet tall with an average build and a dark colored beard and mustache.

During the robbery, police said he was seen wearing blue jeans, a grey quarter zip sweatshirt, light brown work boots, a Gucci hat, and spoke a Spanish accent.
