Former Rhode Island priest facing child porn charges arrested again in Kansas

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A former Providence priest who is facing child pornography charges was arrested again in Kansas last week.
Rev. James Jackson is being returned to the Ocean State for violating the conditions of his release.
At an arraignment in November, Jackson had the following restrictions placed on his bail:
- Surrender of passport
- Surrender of firearms
- No contact order with minors under 18
- Internet use restricted to business
- Granted permission to travel to Kansas to be with family
Court documents didn’t specify which of the restrictions he violated, just that one was violated.
He was charged with possession of child pornography last October, after investigators found hundreds of images and videos of child pornography during a search of St. Mary’s church in Providence.
