Man, 32, killed in Exeter motorcycle crash

EXETER, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police said a 32-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday.

The crash happened at about 9 p.m. on Sunderland Road, just west of Route 102.

State police said a motorcycle, driven by William Gavvit, of West Kingston, was traveling north on the road. The motorcycle then went off the road and hit a pole.

Gavvit was taken to Kent County Hospital, and later died from his injuries.

No other cars were involved, according to state police.
