Rhode Island State Police implement new automated 911 dispatch system

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police are announced the implementation of a new automated emergency medical dispatch system Thursday morning.

The new system will make it easier for dispatchers to connect with 911 callers and give them the proper help until emergency care responds.

Dispatchers will have specific steps to help the caller based on whatever their emergency is.
