The men accused of beating 68-year-old Milton Lyles to death were in a Providence court room Monday.

Jared Jackson, 20, and Thomas Rose, 22, were arraigned and held without bail on murder charges.

A third suspect, David Durrett, 31, was charged with larceny after police said he went through Lyles’ pockets and stole a cell phone and money.

Lyles was found beaten on Broad Street on May 19th and later died at Rhode Island hospital on June 12th.

His death marks the city’s 8th murder this year.
