Record Breaking Heatwave

Record Sun 2022 07 24

We did it – we broke the record high temperature for today, topping out at 98 degrees. The old record was 94 from 1933.

Overnight tonight will be very warm and stuffy as low temperatures hold in the upper-70s. Monday signals the end of the heat trend as a strong cold front comes through.

This cold front will bring showers and a chance of thunderstorms mainly after noontime into Monday night. Any thunderstorms we make will have the chance to contain severe weather elements of damaging winds, hail, frequent lightning and downpours. Winds will be the primary concern for Monday storms. After the front leaves, we will experience some fine summer weather Tuesday. Looking ahead, we will see highs in the 80s this week and mainly sunshine. Thursday will be the next chance of rain.
