Newport hospital celebrates 150 years of service

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — Newport Hospital celebrated 150 years of serving Aquidneck Island Thursday.

The hospital was founded in 1873 and over the next year, a series of events will be held to commemorate its history.

Hospital staff raised a banner celebrate the milestone Thursday.
