Final patient from Uvalde shooting gets discharged from hospital in Texas
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A hospital in Texas announced that their last patient from the Uvalde shooting was discharged Friday.
University Hospital sent a tweet Friday evening that 10-year-old Maya Zamora was able to go home.
She passed out roses to nurses on her exit as people clapped and celebrated.
“She is our hero and we can’t wait to see all she accomplishes in the future! #MayahStrong,” the hospital tweeted.
19 children, including two teachers were killed when a gunman entered the Robb Elementary School in May. 17 others were wounded.
