Massachusetts couple accused of armed robbery in New Hampshire

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — New Hampshire police said a Massachusetts couple was arrested Monday morning after an alleged armed robbery, car chase, and standoff.
Police responded to a convenience store on Emerson Avenue for a report of an armed robbery just before 2:30 a.m.
When police arrived, they learned that a man walked in and robbed a convenient store with what believed to be a firearm. The man then fled the scene in a sedan, according to police.
Officers then spotted the sedan on Route 111 and continue to chase the suspect. The car eventually turned onto Hickory Road and pulled into a driveway.
When police approached the car, the male suspect pointed a gun towards the female drivers head threatening to harm her. The couple then fled from police.
Surrounding police departments were notified and quickly responded to the area to help search for the vehicle.
Around 2:45 a.m. police responded to reports of a armed home invasion on Wellington Drive. Police said they received reports that the suspect held several people in the house hostage at gunpoint.
Police departments surrounded the home. A standoff was then in progress.
During the standoff, police identified 39-year-old man Jose Robles from Taunton, and Athol woman Camille Knox, 39.
Police said Robles tried to flee the scene while holding a gun towards the hostages head, but that didn’t work.
“During the stand-off members of the home were able to flee to safety; to include the homeowner’s children and their grandmother,” read in a Facebook post. “Knox eventually left the house and it was at this point officers learned that she was robles fiancé.”
Knox claimed that Robles was under the influence of cocaine and “meth”.
Officers were able to arrest Knox, who passed out inside the house from taking pills. Police later found out the firearm was actually a BB gun.
Robles is facing armed robbery, kidnapping, burglary, resisting arrest, and threatening with a deadly weapon charges.
Knox is facing an accomplice to an armed robbery, operating with a suspended license, and disobeying an officer charges.
The incident is still under investigation.
