Taunton man found dead in river

WEST BROOKFIELD, MASS (WLNE) – The Worcester District Attorney said the body of a man was pulled from the Quaboag River on Saturday near the bridge on Long Hill Road.
The victim; 54-year-old Kevin A. Dion, of Long Hill Road in Taunton packed a lunch and gone fishing Saturday morning.
According to police, Dion often fished in the river in the north bank near the bridge.
Dion was not answering his cell phone, so friends began searching for him in the afternoon where they found his folding chair and other belongings on the river bank.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m, several people in a small boat spotted Dion in the water, where The West Brookfield Police retrieved his body.
Police are currently investigation he incident but say the death does not appear to be suspicious.
