A DRY HEAT TODAY

This afternoon, a strong ridge of high pressure will build overhead, dominating the weather pattern through Saturday. Temperatures will climb well into the 80s to near 90 today with low humidity. Pleasantly mild conditions continue overnight with lows in the mid 60s.
As the high slides offshore tomorrow, higher humidity arrives on the heels of a southwesterly breeze. We’ll see building clouds that can result in a brief, isolated shower/sprinkle. However, expect little to no impact on your outdoor plans. Highs will be similar to today with readings in the upper 80s to near 90, but this time it will be a little on the muggy side. A similar situation plays out fo Sunday although a south-southeasterly breeze will keep temperatures a couple of degrees cooler.
The weather pattern becomes more complicated next week as a stalled frontal boundary along the southern Mid-Atlantic states begins shifting northward while Low pressure approaches from the M
idwest. This will bring in plenty of clouds with rather humid conditions and the threat of showers or thunderstorms late Monday afternoon, continuing into Tuesday morning. Another round of showers will threaten Tuesday night.
