Democratic Providence mayoral candidates to participate in debate

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Democratic candidates in the Providence mayoral race will participate in a debate Tuesday.

Gonzalo Cuervo, Nirva LaFortune, and Brett Smiley will all answer questions and present their views on the city’s future.

Tuesday’s debate is slated for 12:15 p.m. and can be viewed for free on Zoom.

The event is sponsored by the Providence Rotary Club.
