Registration for 127th Boston Marathon opens

BOSTON (WLNE) — Runners looking to sign up for the 127th Boston Marathon will be able to do so Monday.

Registration opened at 10 a.m. and will remain open until Friday at 5 p.m.

Any athlete who has achieved a qualifying time that currently meets the standards for the Boston Marathon can register online.

The Boston Athletic Association encourages all runners to get their COVID-19 vaccine before the marathon.

The race is scheduled for April 17 and over 30,000 runners are expected to participate.
