Rhode Island Board of Elections to discuss primary vote recounts

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Board of Elections happened Monday morning to consider vote recounts from specific races.

The races that have been requested for recount include:

  • Providence City Council Ward 3 – Democrat Primary
  • Providence City Council Ward 14 – Democrat Primary
  • Providence City Council Ward 4 – Democrat Primary
  • Senate District 29 – Democrat Primary
  • Representative District 57 – Democrat Primary
  • Providence City Council Ward 15 – Democrat Primary
  • Representative District 58 – Democrat Primary
  • Providence City Council Ward 10 – Democrat Primary
  • Providence City Council Ward 12 – Democrat Primary

Once discussed, the recounts applied to all but Senate District 29 and Providence City Council Ward 15 Democrat primaries.

The recounts were conducted on Monday, and the board will meet again on Tuesday to confirm the results.
