Celtics’ Williams to miss start of season with knee procedure, reports say

Robert Williams

BOSTON (WLNE) — Boston Celtics center Robert Williams III is expected to miss the beginning of the 2022-23 NBA season after undergoing a knee procedure later this week.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Tuesday that the 24-year-old will have an arthroscopic procedure done to his left knee. Williams is expected to take four to six weeks to recover, missing training camp as well as the preseason.

Woj added that Timelord should be back into the lineup early in the season.

Williams tore his meniscus in that left knee back in March.

Last season, he averaged 10 points and just under 10 rebounds per game for the C’s. Williams also found himself on the NBA’s All Defensive second team.
