New Role for City Employee Accused of Stalking Woman

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The East Providence city worker who stalked a woman by putting a tracker on her car is taking on a new role at city hall.
Last year, Leah Stoddard and John Mitchell teamed up to get back at his ex.
They placed a GPS device on the victim’s car so they could follow her around town.
Stoddard and Mitchell were sentenced to one year probation.
Stoddard is expected to start her new role as Deputy City Clerk June 10.
