6 Questions With John DeLuca: Remembering D-Day

WESTERLY, RI (WLNE) – John “Shorty” Terranova of Westerly was one of the 150,000 allied forces to land on Omaha beach 75 years ago.

Shorty is an Army veteran and was part of the third wave that day.

The 99-year-old was a radioman in the 457th anti-aircraft artillery battalion.
