Ribbon cutting ceremony marks official opening of Winters Elementary

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday to mark the official opening of a newly built elementary school in Pawtucket.

The Henry J. Winters Elementary School opened this fall, six days after anticipated because of a fire alarm battery malfunction.

Gov. Dan McKee was in attendance to celebrate the completion of construction.

The ceremony was held at 11:15 a.m.
