Cumberland Mayor Dan McKee has launched his campaign to become Rhode Island's next Lt. Governor.
“I'm honored to announce my candidacy for Lieutenant Governor at the Neutaconkanut Recreation Center, a place where I coached many young people and gained a firsthand understanding of the need to improve public education in Rhode Island,” said McKee.
Mckee was joined by his fellow mayors including Joseph Polisena of Johnston, Charles Lombardi of North Providence and James Diossa of Central Falls when he made the announcement.
Mckee said as Lt. Governor he will advocate for Rhode Island's cities and towns and work across party lines to help find “efficiencies and support policies that have helped to protect,” taxpayers.
