Man charged in Pawtucket stabbing

Pawtucket police say they've arrested a 41-year-old man accused of stabbing another person multiple times.
Christian Edwards was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon resulting in serious injury early Sunday morning. Police say Edwards is from out of state, but his exact address isn't known.
Police responded to the 800 block of Central Avenue for a reported fight at about 12:30 a.m. Witnesses say a man was waving a knife around.
Officials say the victim is in intensive care at Rhode Island Hospital with multiple stab wounds to his chest and abdomen. His name hasn't been released.
Edwards is being detained. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.
