Warwick Police arrest 2, seize cars and drugs

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – Two people are in custody after a police investigation recovered over half a kilogram of cocaine in Warwick.

Members of the Warwick and Providence Police Departments executed a search warrant at 267 Park Avenue in Warwick on Wednesday.

Police seized 551.1 grams of cocaine, along with $6000 cash and a driver’s license and other identity documents under the name “Joel Melendez”. Three vehicles were also seized as result of the investigation.

Antonio Soto-Diaz and Doris Olea, both 36, were taken into custody following the search.

Soto-Diaz faces the following charges:

  • Manufacturing/Possession/Delivery Cocaine (1oz – 1kg)
  • Identity Fraud
  • Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty
  • Administrative Warrant of Removal from the United States

Olea is charged with Manufacturing/Possession/Delivery Cocaine (1oz – 1kg).
