PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – A local singer has been indicted on child molestation charges.
Tony Cerbo, 40, whose website says he’s a wedding singer and entertainer in the Rhode Island area, was arrested in November for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy.
A Providence County Grand Journey returned an indictment Friday charging Cerbo with one count of first-degree child molestation, one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree child molestation, and one count of second-degree child molestation.
Police say Cerbo used an online app to meet up with the youth.
The Grand Jury also charged 37-year-old Matthew Heuser with conspiracy to commit child molestation in connection with the case.
