Warwick police arrest two after an altercation involving a knife

WARWICK, R.I (WLNE) – Police arrest two men after an altercation involving a knife at a local bar.

Police say it was at midnight when the received a call from Tavern 12 on Post road for a fight in progress involving a knife. 

After police investigated the incident, they arrested 35-year-old Mathew Foss and 36-year-old Kyle Taylor, both from Warwick. 

Foss was charged with Felony Assault for striking Taylor with the knife, and Disorderly Conduct. He was held for arraignment before a bail commissioner. 

Taylor was charged with Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct.

He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries where he was released on a summons.
