Coventry man arrested on drug charges

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) – Coventry Police have arrested a local man on multiple drug charges after an investigation into drug distribution in the town.
Kareem Machado, 37, was arrested following a court-authorized search of his Windsor Park Drive residence on April 30th.
Police seized suspected fentanyl, suboxone and crack cocaine, as well as cash, a digital scale and packaging materials.
Machado was arraigned May 1st in Kent County District Court, where he was presented as a bail violator on charges including one from 2018 for Domestic Assault by Strangulation.
Machado was charged with the following:
- Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl
- Possession with Intent to Deliver Suboxone
- Possession of Crack Cocaine
Machado was ordered held without bail at the ACI.
