No bail for Taunton man charged in weekend shooting

A grudge may be behind a brazen shooting at a bus terminal in Taunton over the weekend after police said the suspect spotted his rival driving through the city, followed him, and fired six shots into the car.
The three people inside the vehicle knew Patrick Rivera, 25, best by his street name ‘P Curley’, according to court documents.
Rivera is now facing multiple felony charges as police said he chased down the victims into a Gatra bus terminal on Oak Street, fired his .45 caliber gun, and ran off.
Prosecutors in court said that the two men had a “beef” with each other concerning the mother of the victim’s child.
Rivera is accused of getting into his black Infiniti and chased down the grey Acura into the parking lot.
The victim told police he knew that Rivera carried a gun, so in a panic, he put his car into reverse and backed up into Rivera’s Infiniti.
Isabel Leandres lives nearby and was in her kitchen when the shots rang out.
“I was in my kitchen and heard a very loud bam bam bam,” she said. “I looked outside and I don’t see nothing [sic]. Three or five minutes later and I see the police.”
Rivera got out of the car and fired six shots into the trunk of the Acura and then ran off to a nearby park where he was later arrested.
Rivera is being held without bail, pending a dangerousness hearing on Thursday.
Police said they did not find a weapon at the scene, even after State Police K9’s searched the area.
Nobody was hurt in the shooting.
