Prostitution sting in Central Falls yields five arrests

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. – Five women have been arrested by Central Falls police and charged with various crimes after police conducted a prostitution sting Friday.
Police say during the operation, two undercover male officer from other police agencies posed as “johns” in areas where prostitution often takes place.
While working their beats, the undercover officers were solicited for indecent acts for exchange for money by four females, all of whom had previous prostitution convictions.
A fifth female was arrested on warrants for unrelated offenses.
Police have not released the identities of the suspected prostitutes, pending their arraignment on the charge of Loitering for Indecent Purposes – Prostitution.
