Smithfield police seek public’s help locating missing man

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) – Smithfield police are currently searching for Howard McGhean ,67, he is believed to be in danger due to mental health issues.

McGhean was last seen on foot in the area of Harris Road in Smithfield.

He was last seen wearing a red parka, blue pants, and a black baseball cap.

He is 5’9, 150 pounds, and has blue eyes.

Police say he may be heading to Federal Hill in Providence.
