Recall issued for certain Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies

EAST HANOVER, N.J. (WLNE) – Mondelez Global LLC has announced a voluntary recall of certain Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies in the United States.
The affected snacks were recalled due to “potential for certain product to contain an unexpected solidified ingredient” after some reports were received of potential adverse health effects.
The effected product includes packages of Chewy Chips Ahoy Cookie, 13 oz. with retail UPC code 0 44000 03223 4 and the following Best by dates (located on the top left side of the package):
- 07SEP2019
- 08SEP2019
- 14SEP2019
- 15SEP2019
No additional Chips Ahoy or Mondelez products are included in the recall.
Consumers who have the affected product are advised not to eat it.
