100-year old woman leaves forty-thousand dollars for Pawtucket shelter

The Pawtucket Animal Shelter got a generous donation today… from the family a 100-year-old woman who recently passed away.
      It was a home away for home for former school teacher Selena Caidin who died in July.
     She loved animals, especially cats, which motivated her to leave forty thousand dollars to the Pawtucket Animal Shelter.
     Now, the future is brighter for the animals at the shelter.John Holmes of the Pawtucket animal shelter says, the money will help them keep a lot of programs going,Holmes says challenge for animal shelters is to raise money to give aid for sick and injured animals.Selena's niece, Joan Holden says she learned life lessons from her Aunt saying, my fondest memory of her is to watch a woman who grew up in the early1900's who became so powerful strong and independent and she taught me a lot about that” Caidin also gave 40.000 to the Pawtucket Library.
