Pawtucket man arrested in connection with Dartmouth stabbing

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) – Two men were injured in a stabbing incident Thursday night in Dartmouth.
Police responded to 450 State Road around 7:15 p.m. Thursday for reports of a stabbing.
Officers on scene located two male victims suffering from stab wounds. Police were able to obtain a description of a suspect vehicle that had fled the scene.
A Dartmouth Police Patrolman later observed the suspect vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop. The vehicle accelerated in an attempt to evade Police, eventually crashing on Deerfield Road.
Police began a search of the surrounding area for the operator of the vehicle, identified as Sadaryl Parham, 24, of Pawtucket, who fled the scene of the crash.
Parham was located in a swampy area close to the scene of the crash and placed under arrest, then transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of a minor injury.
The victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment. One victim was taken to St. Anne’s Hospital with minor injuries. The other victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with more serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Parham faces the following charges:
- Two (2) counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon
- Assault to murder
- Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license
- Failure to stop for police
- Negligent operation
- Marked lanes violation
- Speeding
The incident remains under investigation.
