BALTIMORE, M.D. (WLNE) – The husband and stepdaughter of a Providence native killed in Baltimore are now charged with staging her murder.

54-year-old Jacquelyn Smith was stabbed to death in December in East Baltimore.

Her husband told police a panhandler had stabbed her when she was trying to hand over money.
